Japan dominated the Asian Film Awards on Monday with « Tokyo Sonata » and « Still Walking ». The Awards ceremony took place at Hong Kong. « Tokyo Sonata » won the price of the best picture. It talks about the breakdown of a family when the father loses his job.

Ozawa to stay on as DPJ leader

After the troubles concerning his secretary chief, Ichiro Ozawa announced Tuesday that he will not resign as head of the Democratic Party, the largest opposition force. Ozawa's chief secretary , Takianori Okubo, was acccused of violating the Political Funds Control Law. He accepted ¥21 million in illicit donations from Construction Co.Corporation, which violates the law about contrubution to individual poluiticians.
