Toxic mushrooms

The daily paper Japan Times has report that the American army has tested some biological weapons “at least twelve times” during the 60’s in the Okinawa prefecture, occupied by the United States from the end of the second world war to 1972. The report is based on American governmental documents.

A devastating mushroom which causes sickness on plantations would have been diffused on the rice-fields to assess its impact on the production of this staple diet. “We estimate that this mushroom which is known in 85 countries has destroyed a quantity of rice that could feed 60 million of inhabitants per year” claimed an English daily.

The American government has already unveiled some experimenting programs of chemical and biological weapons in Puerto Rico, Hawaii and in the Utah, suspected the japan times.

Opinion:

                It seems to be a strange story. Why would a country would use dangerous mushrooms against another country? And if it’s real I find it really mad from the government not to think of the consequences of their acts. Now japan lost a huge part of their plantations of rice, which is a staple diet. To my mind, this fact might be invented or modified by the newspaper in order to frighten their inhabitants.

Champignons très vénéneux

Certaines informations du Japan Times qui s’appuie sur des documents gouvernementaux américains affirment que l'armée américaine aurait testé des armes biologiques « au moins une douzaine de fois » au cours des années 1960 dans la préfecture d'Okinawa, occupée par les Etats-Unis depuis la seconde guerre mondiale jusqu'en 1972.

Un champignon dévastateur qui provoque des maladies sur les plantes aurait ainsi été diffusé sur les rizières pour évaluer son impact sur la production de cette denrée alimentaire de base. « On estime que ce champignon, dont l'existence est connue dans 85 pays, détruit une quantité de riz qui pourrait nourrir 60 millions de personnes par an », note un quotidien anglophone.

Le gouvernement américain a déjà révélé avoir expérimenté des armes chimiques et biologiques à Puerto Rico, Hawaï et dans l'Utah, avance aussi le Japan Times.

Opinion :

                Cette histoire me semble étrange. Pourquoi un pays testerait-il des champignons dangereux ou quelque chose dans le genre sur un autre pays ? Et si malgré tout c’est la vérité je trouve affreux de la part du gouvernement de ne pas penser aux conséquences de leurs actes. Désormais le japon a perdu une part énorme de ses plantations de riz qui est un aliment essentiel de leur culture. Selon moi, ces faits ont été inventés ou déformés par les journaux pour effrayer leur population.
